Your privacy matters to us. Tulsa Volleyball League collects only the information reasonably needed to operate our programs, communicate with participants and families, and provide a safe and organized league experience.
We Use Your Information to Run the League — Not Sell It.
When you register for a TVL program, contact us, join a team, or use certain features of our website, some personal information may be collected in order for us to operate the program you are participating in.
We do not sell participant or family information to advertisers or unrelated third parties.
We make reasonable efforts to limit the collection, use and visibility of personal information to what is actually needed for league operations.
Information Needed to Participate.
Depending on the program or service being used, information collected may include:
- Name and contact information
- Parent or guardian information for youth participants
- Age or date-of-birth information when needed for program eligibility
- Team, roster and program registration information
- Emergency or other information voluntarily provided during registration
- League communications and requests submitted to TVL
- Payment and transaction information processed through our registration platform and payment providers
TVL does not intentionally collect information that is unrelated to operating our leagues, programs and events.
Why We Need It.
Participant information may be used to:
- Process registrations and manage rosters
- Create teams, schedules and league assignments
- Communicate program updates, schedule information and league notices
- Confirm participant eligibility
- Respond to participant or parent questions
- Operate practices, games, tournaments and other TVL activities
- Maintain appropriate records for league administration
- Address safety, conduct or legal matters when necessary
Personal information will be retained only as long as reasonably necessary for these purposes, our recordkeeping needs, or as otherwise required by law.
We Take Extra Care With Youth Information.
Youth participants deserve an additional level of privacy. TVL does not intentionally make a child's personal contact information available to the general public.
We have also changed portions of our website and roster access practices to reduce unnecessary public exposure of youth participant information.
Where youth roster information must be made available to participating families, TVL may use restricted, coded or otherwise limited-access methods rather than placing that information on a publicly searchable page.
Public-facing roster or team features will be limited whenever reasonably possible so that outside visitors cannot use our website simply to locate a youth participant and contact that participant directly.
Being on a Team Shouldn't Mean Giving Up Your Privacy.
TVL may publish information needed for league participation, including team names, schedules, standings, divisions and game results.
We make reasonable efforts to keep unnecessary personal contact information out of those public-facing areas.
Participant information may still be available to coaches, team administrators, league staff or registered participants when access is reasonably necessary for normal league operations.
When Information May Be Shared.
Information may be shared when reasonably necessary to operate a TVL program, provide requested services or communicate with participants.
Information may also be disclosed when required by law, when necessary to protect the safety or rights of participants or others, or when reasonably necessary to address fraud, abuse, misconduct or security concerns.
Protecting the Information We Receive.
TVL uses reasonable administrative and operational safeguards intended to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, loss, misuse or alteration.
No website, registration platform or electronic system can guarantee absolute security. TVL therefore reviews how participant information is used and accessed and works to limit unnecessary access whenever reasonably possible.
Keeping Your Information Accurate.
Participants and parents are encouraged to keep their registration and contact information current.
If you believe information held by TVL is incorrect, or if you have a question about information associated with your participation, please contact us so we can review the request.
Registration & Third-Party Services.
TVL uses third-party services to assist with functions such as registration, payment processing and website operation. Information submitted through those services may also be subject to the privacy practices and terms of the service provider.
Our website may also contain links to websites operated by organizations other than TVL. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of websites we do not operate.
