Youth rules introduction. LEARN THE GAME. Learn the Game.Respect the Game. Youth players are expected to follow the rules,safety instructions and program format establishedfor the TVL program in which they are registered.
Participation 01 PARTICIPATION Player Eligibility Youth players must be properly registered and meet theage and other eligibility requirements published forthe program in which they are participating. Program Format 02 PROGRAM FORMAT Program-Specific RulesApply TVL youth programs may use different formats dependingon age group, developmental purpose, facility, seasonand program type. The published program description and any instructionsprovided for that specific program establish the formatand rules players are expected to follow. Program Instructions Take Priority When a TVL youth program uses a modified format orspecific TVL house rule, the published youth programrule takes precedence over the general volleyballplaying standard. ↑ Back to Rules Menu
Player Safety 03 PLAYER SAFETY Safe Participation Players are expected to follow coach, official, TVL staffand facility instructions that are intended to keep theprogram organized and safe. Deliberately unsafe or reckless conduct is not acceptableand may result in removal from the activity and furtherTVL review when necessary. ↑ Back to Rules Menu
Community Standards 04 COMMUNITY STANDARDS Sportsmanship & Respect Youth volleyball is a place to learn, compete, improveand be part of a team. Players are expected to treat teammates, opponents,coaches, officials, spectators, facility staff and TVLstaff with respect. Not Acceptable • Abusive, threatening or intimidating behavior.• Bullying, harassment or degrading treatment of another person.• Hostile conduct toward teammates, opponents or staff.• Behavior intended to disrupt the program or create an unsafe environment. ↑ Back to Rules Menu
Rule Authority 05 RULE AUTHORITY Rule Interpretation &Enforcement TVL reserves the right to interpret and enforce youthprogram rules in a manner consistent with player safety,sportsmanship, facility requirements, developmental goalsand the overall intent of the program. Serious or repeated conduct issues may be referred toTVL management before a player is permitted to continueparticipating. Learn the game. Respect the game.
