COACH WITH TVL

Coach the Next Generation.

Help young athletes learn the game, build confidence, and discover why volleyball is worth loving.

Tulsa Volleyball League is looking for knowledgeable, dependable and encouraging coaches who want to teach the game the right way while creating a positive experience for every player on the court.

APPLY TO COACH

Help Us Build Better Volleyball Players

TVL was built around the love of the game and the belief that players deserve a place to learn volleyball without having to enter the traditional club system.

Our coaches are an important part of that mission.

We want coaches who can teach proper fundamentals, explain the game in a way young athletes understand, encourage improvement and help players become more confident every time they step onto the court.

You are not simply running drills.
You are helping players understand the game.

Coaching With TVL

We want our coaches to be able to focus on coaching. TVL handles the league structure so you can focus on the athletes in front of you.

01

Paid Coaching

Our youth coaching positions are paid. We value the time, knowledge and preparation it takes to properly teach young athletes.

02

Structured Programs

TVL provides the league structure, schedules and program framework so coaches are not left trying to build an entire program on their own.

03

Teach the Game

Our programs give coaches the opportunity to work on volleyball fundamentals while allowing players to put those skills into action.

04

Make an Impact

For many TVL athletes, you may be the coach who helps them finally understand a skill, gain confidence or decide they want to keep playing.

Volleyball Knowledge Matters. How You Teach It Matters More.

A great TVL coach understands that young athletes do not all learn at the same speed.

Understands volleyball fundamentals and can demonstrate proper technique.

Can explain skills in ways young players can understand.

Is patient with beginners while still challenging developing athletes.

Creates a positive, respectful and encouraging environment.

Is dependable, prepared and communicates professionally with TVL staff and families.

Understands that development is about more than winning a scrimmage or game.

We're Looking for Coaches With Experience.

TVL invests in experienced coaches because the quality of instruction our athletes receive matters.

This is not an entry-level coaching position or an opportunity to begin learning how to coach volleyball. Applicants should already have experience leading, teaching and developing volleyball athletes.

Minimum two years of volleyball coaching experience.

Experience coaching within an organized youth, school, club, recreational, collegiate or comparable volleyball program.

Strong knowledge of volleyball fundamentals, positions, rotations, rules and team systems.

Ability to independently organize and lead productive practices and skill-development sessions.

USAV coaching credentials, IMPACT training, SafeSport, NFHS education or comparable recognized volleyball coaching education is strongly preferred.

Experience working directly with youth athletes is strongly preferred.
